At Sony’s PS4 keynote, game developer Evolution Studios promised its driving game Drive Club would have a “second screen” option for Android tablets. This would allow gamers to socialize with other players from a tablet, but it was previously unclear if this feature would be compatible with games and devices other than Android tablets. Just a mere four hours after today’s keynote, Sony has announced a new version of its “PlayStation App”....

NBC has followed in ABC’s footsteps and released an update for its iOS app that introduces live streaming of the network’s content directly to an iPhone or iPad. Similarly to ABC’s offering, the feature is only available in a few select cable markets that this time and requires a subscription to a cable or satellite partner. Netflix has officially signed a deal with Dark Horse Entertainment - the film and television production branch of publisher Dark Horse Comics. The two companies previously collaborated on action-comedy superhero series The Umbrella Academy, based on the Dark Horse published comic book of the same name by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. The first season of the popular show was a massive hit with viewers, and recently ranked as the most in-demand superhero TV show - ahead of the likes of Doom Patrol and The Flash....

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ The Notebook gets an alternate ending in Netflix UK & Ireland. Almost everyone knows how Nicholas Spark-written novel-turned film ended, but fans from the other side of the pond got a slightly different version of the classic romantic movie which most of them weren’t happy about. Catapulting Gosling and McAdams to mainstream popularity, the 2004 movie directed by Nick Cassavetes featured the two playing star-crossed lovers Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton who met in 1940s South Carolina....

With the introduction of iOS 13.2, Apple added new features to its speech recognition APIs that allow third-party developers to perform on-device speech recognition, even when the device is offline. Today, Blueshift is releasing its brand new Dictation app that takes advantage of this new functionality. Most transcription services send the user’s speech to a cloud service to be processed. The main advantage of the on-device transcription is that – besides not requiring an internet connection and using bandwidth – it’s completely private since audio never leaves the user’s device....

If one thing’s for certain about the current media landscape, it’s that there just aren’t enough different subscription streaming video services all competing for the consumer dollar. Netatmo HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) support is now arriving for the company’s Smart Outdoor Cameras, following an update back in February for the Smart Indoor Cameras. The camera is designed to replace an existing outdoor light fitting, and is available with or without a siren. Netflix has secured a deal for Voltage Pictures’ Ted Bundy biopic, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. The streaming platform is currently home to a docuseries Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, so the addition of the biopic is fitting. Zac Efron stars in the film as Bundy, the notorious killer who met his electric chair demise 30 years ago. The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival receiving mostly positive reviews, and Efron has already received praise for his near-perfect portrayal of Bundy....

Part two of Disenchantment, Netflix’s adult animation series from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, gets a teaser trailer that drops a big hint about the fate of one of the series’ main characters. The animated series popped up on the streaming service last fall, delivering an irreverent take on fantasy tropes by following Bean (Abbi Jacobsen), a hard-drinking princess who’s none too eager to take part in the patriarchal rituals of father’s kingdom of Dreamland....

This latest drone flyover of Apple’s under construction Campus 2 project is perhaps our best look yet at the site that will soon become Apple’s main headquarters and home to around 13,000 of its employees. The footage comes courtesy of Duncan Sinfield (via MR). Since last checking in, you can see that Apple has now completed erecting most of the four stories that make up the main, circular structure.
