HMD Global launched another smartphone in China, called Nokia X7 which is also known as Nokia 7.1 Plus smartphone outside China. The Nokia X7 smartphone comes with a notch design on top of the display, packed with Snapdragon 710 chipset and ZEISS branded dual camera sensors at the rear panel. The phone is available for pre-order in China and shipping will start next week. The X7 is more affordable.
Nokia X7 body dimensions are 54.8 x 75.7 x 7.97 mm and it weighs 178 grams. The phone comes with sandwiched design, there is a glass panel on the front as well as on the back side along with a series-6000 magnesium alloy frame. The company claims that the phone offering 86.5% screen to body ratio. The X7 smartphone features 6.16-inch IPS display that supports 2246 x 1080 pixels of resolution and offers 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a notched display that offers 500 nits brightness, 1,500:1 contrast, 96% NTSC color gamut coverage and DCI-P3 support. Just like the Nokia 7.1 Plus, the Nokia X7 also comes featured with a PureDisplay which means the phone also offers SDR to HDR video conversion in real time.
The Nokia X7 powered by Octa-Core CPU under the hood which clocks at 2.2 GHz along with Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 (10 nm) chipset. The company unveiled three RAM and memory variants of the phone, first the base model comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage, second comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage and the third top model comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage option. The X7 smartphone also supports micro SD card.
HMD Global launched Nokia X7 smartphone featured with vertically placed dual camera sensors on the back side along with LED flash. There are 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 main camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, dual PD autofocus, AI scene detection and optimized low-light photography. The main camera coupled with a 13-megapixel secondary depth camera sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, there is a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The selfie camera comes with AI bokeh effect, AI recognition for 18 scenes, beauty mode, portrait mode and studio lights built-in features.
The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. The phone comes in Android One program which means users will get pure Android stock experience. The company said that the phone will get Android 9.0 Pie as an update. It packed with 3,500mAh battery inside the body that comes with support for Quick Charge 3.0 (18W fast charger). The quick charger fills the 50% in just 30 minutes. In terms of connectivity, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.
The company launched the Nokia X7 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage variant at 1,699 Yuan (~$245) price tag. The 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant available at 1,999 Yuan (~$289) and the top model with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage available at 2,499 Yuan (~$361). The Nokia X7 available in four color options, Dark Blue, Night Red, Magic Night Silver and Magic Night Black. The phone is available for pre-order on Nokia’s official online store and JD.com in China.
