Windows 10 Redstone Preview Build 11099
Microsoft exec Gabe Aul notes on his blog post that as with previous Insider Build 11082, there aren’t any noticeable changes or features yet. A restart is required to complete the installation (which is a full in-place upgrade). You can schedule the restart for a time that works best for you. For more on that, read our guide on how to schedule Windows 10 Update restarts.
There are known issues with this build, too. A full list can be found in the Windows 10 Insider Hub app. But they include problems with Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft recommends moving to the slow ring until the issue is resolved. Applications that depend on Adobe Flash may crash (big surprise, right). Apps affected by this are some versions of Skype and WeChat, but it doesn’t affect Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer. After the upgrade hit Windows Key+R to bring up the Run dialog and type: winver and hit Enter. There you will see the new build number 11099.1000.
You’ll also see Build 11099.rs1_release.160109-1156 in the lower-right corner of the screen.
