In Sextuplets, Marlon Wayans stars as the protagonist Alan. He gains access to adoption records, and proceeds to track down his five siblings, all of whom have distinctly unique personalities. The film is rated TV-14, so the humor is definitely on the more family-friendly side.
Over the years, Wayans and Tiddes have collaborated for numerous spoof films, including A Haunted House, A Haunted House 2, and Fifty Shades of Black, along with the 2017 Netflix comedy Naked. Here’s a guide of Sextuplets main cast they’ve put together.
Marlon Wayans as Alan, Russell, Ethan, Baby Pete, Dawn, and Jaspar: Much like Eddie Murphy, the youngest Wayans brother is known for his ability to transform into numerous characters for the sake of comedy. In this case, he portrays the titular sextuplets, along with one surprise character.
Marlon Wayans is best known for starring with his brother Shawn in the 2004 film White Chicks, along with the ‘90s TV series The Wayans Bros. He’s also starred in movies like Scary Movie and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. In the early ‘90s, Wayans starred in the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color, created by older brother Keenan Ivory Wayans.
Molly Shannon as Linda: Alan’s booze-happy boss stands in the way of a potential business partnership. From 1995 to 2001, Molly Shannon was a cast member on NBC’s sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. She famously reprised her SNL character Mary Katherine Gallagher in the 1999 comedy Superstar. Shannon will soon appear in Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
Michael Ian Black as Doug: Alan’s pal dates a “Russian aerial dancer” and attempts to connect with his black friends by using out-dated phrases. During the past 25 years, Michael Ian Black has appeared in numerous television comedy series, and portrayed McKinley in the original Wet Hot American Summer movie. Most recently, he portrayed Pastor Mike in the Netflix series Insatiable.
Bresha Webb as Marie: At Columbia Law School, Alan’s wife finished at the top of her class. Marie provides unconditional support to her husband as he struggles with self-confidence and sextuplet-related issues.
Bresha Webb is best known for starring as Imunique Jefferson in the TV One series Love That Girl! She also portrayed Teresa Morris in Grey’s Anatomy, and had a main role on the NBC series Marlon. In 2018, Webb had a supporting role in the feature film Night School.
Glynn Turman as Leland: As Marie’s father, a judge, he’s skeptical of Alan as a man. Yet Leland agrees to help his son-in-law unseal adoption records.
During the late ‘60s, Glynn Turman began his career on the ABC soap opera Peyton Place. In pop culture, he’s best known as Mayor Clarence V. Royce from the HBO series The Wire. In 2018, Turman portrayed General Whalen in Bumblebee, and previously starred as Jeremiah Kaan in the Showtime series House of Lies.
