Roma has become the first Netflix movie to be added to the Criterion Collection’s prestigious roster of films. Director Alfonso Cuarón’s low budget black and white drama scored big at the 2018 Academy Awards, bringing in 3 Oscars. The film, which Cuarón shot, wrote and directed in his native Mexico, tells a semi-biographical tale about growing up in Mexico City’s middle-class Colonia Roma neighborhood. Wes Craven’s estate is taking pitches for a new Nightmare on Elm Street movie, and we think they should cast Kevin Bacon in a Freddy Krueger prequel. Earlier this year, a quirk of U.S. copyright law allowed the rights to A Nightmare on Elm Street to revert to their original creator, that being the late Craven, who wrote and directed the 1984 slasher classic. Up until now, Warner Bros. (owners of New Line Cinema, aka “The House That Freddy Built”), held worldwide rights to the Nightmare franchise and its iconic boogeyman Freddy Krueger....

When a company launches a new video game console, they often rely on sequels to games from previous generations to fill out the new system’s lineup. Unfortunately for the Nintendo Switch, the Wii U’s library is a bit lacking and doesn’t have all that many franchises to cull new sequels from. The Wii U faltering also had the additional side effect of leaving a lot of original Wii games and series without a new system to come to, as Wii U’s low install base didn’t allow for as many riskier games and largely stuck to bigger, more bankable franchises....
